Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information the Jarvys Android app (the "app") and this website, jarvys-agent.com, handle, where it goes, and the choices you have. Jarvys is an AI agent that runs on your phone and works with the AI model and accounts you choose to connect.
1. The short version
- Your conversations, memory, tasks, files and settings are stored on your device. Jarvys has no account system and we do not receive that content.
- When you ask Jarvys to do something, the relevant text and any content you ask it to work with is sent to the AI model provider you selected (for example OpenAI or OpenRouter) so it can respond.
- Google data (Gmail, Drive) is accessed only after you sign in and grant permission, only to carry out what you ask, and is never sold or used for advertising.
- The app shows no ads and we do not sell personal information.
2. Information stored on your device
Jarvys keeps conversation history, memory notes (plain-text files you can open and edit inside the app), scheduled tasks and their results, settings, generated images and files created in the agent's workspace. This data is stored in the app's private storage, and Android backup is turned off for the app. Sign-in tokens and API keys are stored in Android Keystore-backed encrypted storage. Uninstalling the app or clearing its storage deletes this data.
3. Information sent to AI model providers
To answer you, Jarvys sends your messages, relevant memory, tool results and any content you ask it to use (for example an email or file you ask it to summarize, or a screenshot when you ask it to look at your screen) to the provider you selected: OpenAI, when you sign in with ChatGPT, or OpenRouter, which routes your request to the model vendor you pick. We do not operate these services and do not receive this content. Each provider handles it under its own terms and privacy policy, so please review them.
4. Google user data
If you connect a Google account, you sign in through Google's standard consent screen and choose whether to grant each permission. Jarvys stores the resulting access tokens encrypted on your device. The app requests only these scopes:
| Scope | What Jarvys uses it for |
|---|---|
gmail.readonly | Find and read your messages and threads when you ask (for example to find or summarize an email). |
gmail.compose | Create and edit email drafts you ask for. |
gmail.send | Send an email only when you ask for it, subject to your approval settings. |
drive.readonly | Find and read files in your Drive when you ask. |
drive.file | Create and edit files that Jarvys creates or that you open with it. |
How we handle Google user data:
- It is used only to provide the features you request inside the app. It is never used for advertising, sold, or used to build or train any model.
- Our servers never receive it. It moves between your device, Google, and the AI provider you selected, and only to the extent needed to fulfil your request (for example the text of an email you asked Jarvys to summarize is sent to your selected AI provider to produce the summary).
- No person reads your Google data.
- You can disconnect an account in the app, which removes the stored tokens and asks Google to revoke them, or revoke access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
5. Device features and permissions
Depending on what you enable, Jarvys can use Android permissions such as contacts, calendar, location, phone calls, notifications and display over other apps. If you enable Jarvys's accessibility service so it can operate other apps for you, it reads what is on screen to carry out your request. Each permission is optional, is used only when you ask Jarvys to do something that needs it, and you can revoke it in Android settings. Relevant content may be passed to your selected AI provider as described in section 3. SMS and call log access exists only in the non-Google-Play "Full" developer build.
6. Web search and web pages
If you use web search or ask Jarvys to read a web page, the search query or page address is sent to the search or reader service in use (such as Exa, Bing or Jina Reader), which handles it under its own policy.
7. Optional Linux environment (developer build)
The "Full" developer build can download an Ubuntu base image from Canonical and run it locally in an isolated environment on your device. Commands run there are approved by you, execute on your device, and may use the network.
8. Sharing
We do not sell personal information and show no ads. Information leaves your device only to the providers and services described above, which you choose or enable, or where required by law. This website is static and uses no cookies or analytics; Cloudflare, which delivers it, processes standard technical request data such as IP address and browser type.
9. Security
Credentials are kept in Android Keystore-backed storage, sensitive actions require your approval unless you choose otherwise, and connections to Google and AI providers use HTTPS. No method is perfectly secure, so please keep your device protected with a screen lock and updates.
10. Retention and deletion
Data on your device stays until you delete it in the app, clear the app's storage or uninstall it. Disconnecting an account removes its tokens from the device.
11. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information, or to object to its processing. Because we hold almost no personal information, most requests are answered by the controls above. To exercise any of these rights, email support@jarvys-agent.com.
12. Children
Jarvys is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 where local law requires), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
13. Changes
We may update this policy; the effective date above shows the latest version. Significant changes will be noted in the app or on this site.
